The second GSSN symposium was held at the University of Leeds from 9 to 11 September 2014.

Organised by Dr Chris Homewood, and PhD coordinators Rachel Greene and Luke Postlethwaite, this event looked at ways of understanding transnational cinemas through the careers of German-speaking stars past and present, including Emil Jannings, Pola Negri, Daniel Brühl and Sibel Kikelli.
