An Evening with Katja Riemann

In May 2016, the GSSN hosted a film screening, Q&A and wine reception with Katja Riemann, one of the most celebrated film actresses in contemporary German cinema. Riemann’s film breakthrough came in 1993 with the romantic comedy Abgeschminkt! (Making Up!). She has since garnered numerous awards including the 1997 Ernst Lubitsch Prize for achievements in German film acting, the 2007 German Acting Prize at the Ludwigshafen Festival of German Film, and in 2003, the Coppa Volpi at the Venice Biennale. Following a screening of the 2012 political drama Das Wochenende (The Weekend), Katja Riemann was interviewed at King’s College by Professor Erica Carter.
