Annie Ring lectures and researches in German film and literature as well as cultural theory and philosophy in the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS) at University College London. Her publications include essays on critical data studies, Harun Farocki’s repurposing of film archives, surveillance and complicity in German workplace documentaries, very late GDR film, the critical spectatorship of pornography, and theories of the archive.
